Clinical Applications Using Gore Tex Augmentation Material In Implant Dentistry

These case reports evaluated the use of guided tissue regeneration in patients with bony defects round dental implants. Depending on the defects size and location, membranes were used alone or with autogenous bone or autogenous bone mixed with
DFDB(Demineralized Freeze Dried Bone) to support the space under the membrane. After 6 to 8 months of the membrane placement, second operation was made and at that time membranes were removed. After membrane removal, provisional restorations were
kept
in place for 1 year, at which time the final prostheses were placed. For the esthetic and stable clinical outcomes, complete epithelization of the covering gingiva over the membrane by giving at least 2 months healing period after extraction and
allowing time for new bone maturation after implant insertion and abutment connection was important.
